Physiotherapy

  • Assessment & Diagnosis

We pride ourselves in undertaking a thorough physiotherapy assessment, which begins by gathering information around the history of your injury, medical background, lifestyle, and any previous treatments.

Next, we perform an in-depth physical examination, assessing posture, ranges of movement, strength and ‘special tests’ which help with formulating a diagnosis. This diagnosis guides the development of a personalised treatment plan aimed at addressing the root cause, optimising recovery, and providing education to help self-management and reduce the risk of reoccurrences.

  • Treatment/Rehabilitation

Following a diagnosis, physiotherapy treatment and rehabilitation play a crucial role in recovery and regaining optimal function.

Manual therapy may be used during sessions, including soft tissue techniques and joint mobilisations where appropriate to provide both short term benefits and support long term goals.

We pride ourselves on delivering a high standard of rehabilitation, whatever the injury, whatever the stage. Whether you’re 3 weeks post op or 12 months, we appreciate the importance of effective rehabilitation at every stage.

We aim to get every patient in the gym during our sessions, to teach correct techniques of the prescribed exercises to get the most out of our programmes.

  • Ongoing Management

Ongoing management is crucial to ensure successful rehabilitation and recovery.

Follow-up appointments allow us to closely monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as required.

Through these sessions, we can assess your response to exercises and progress/regress accordingly. Regressing exercises is equally important when pain or difficulty arises, helping to prevent setbacks, whilst progressing exercises appropriately to challenge, and continue to drive improvement is key.
